Opal Isabel (Crofut) Eberhardt

Opal Isabel Eberhardt, age 99, passed away peacefully with family August 13, 2018. She was born October 15, 1918, in Massillon and grew up in East Greenville, Ohio. Opal was the daughter of Emma and Alonzo Crofut. Opal enjoyed dancing, playing euchre, family picnics and spending time with her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

Along with her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Brownie (Wilfred) Eberhardt; 8 brothers and sisters; a son in law, Jim Hoffman; and a great grandson, Benjamin Neuenschwander. Opal is survived by her daughters Shirley (Dale) Kurzen and Donna Hoffman, both of Massillon; her grandchildren, Joni Dingey, Daniel (April) Kurzen, Stacey (Rocky) Neuenschwander, and Rick (Jacqui) Hoffman; and her great grandchildren, Adam, Lauren, and Megan Dingey; Sophia and Cade Kurzen; Tate and Reid Neuenschwander; Brayden and Kyler Hoffman.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
