Onalette A. "Nonie" (Manly) Sibert

Onalette A. “Nonie” Sibert, 92, of Massillon, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 5, 2017.  Born in Canton, June 20, 1925, a daughter to the late Donald and Mary (Deetz) Manly, Sr., Nonie graduated from the former Canton Lincoln High School.  On April 20, 1946, she married her best friend, Carl E. Sibert, and together they shared 55 years of marriage prior to his passing in June 2001.  She had worked for several years as a secretary for Northeast Adjustment Co. but it was in her vocation as a devoted wife and a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma that she found her greatest joy.  That same joy was mirrored in her commitment of service to the faith community of Central Presbyterian Church in Massillon.  It was her happy place; her most favorite home away from home.
Predeceased by her parents and her husband; sisters, Ruth Manly Moretta and Mildred “De” Manly Sibert and brother, Donald Manly, Jr., Nonie is survived by her sons, Jeffrey C. (Sandy) Sibert, of Canal Fulton and Roger M. (Liz) Sibert, of Massillon; her grandchildren, Samantha (Alex) Eubank, Seth Sibert (and fiancée, Sarah Sinetos), Jennifer (Andrew) Kuhlman and Brent (Kaitlin) Sibert; and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of treasured friends.
Family and friends will join in celebrating the life of Nonie Sibert on Sunday afternoon, July 9, at 4:00 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church.  Pastor Larry Lalama will officiate.  Visitation will take place in the church Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions are suggested to further the mission and ministry of Central Presbyterian Church, 47 – 2nd Street NE, Massillon, Ohio  44646.
