Norma Rinehart Obituary

Norma Jean Rinehart, our precious mom, grandma and great-grandma, passed away in the comfort of her home, with her children gathered to her side, on Thursday afternoon, February 1, 2018.  Following a well-lived life of nearly 92 years, she can now rest safely in the presence of her Savior.  Born in Massillon April 4, 1926, a daughter to the late Harold and Nellie (Benedum) Brown, Norma graduated from the former Brewster High School and worked in the offices of the former Brewster Railroad. She also worked at the J.C. Penny Store in Massillon.  A faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Massillon, she had a great imagination and a broad range of interests with quieter hobbies that included cross-stitching and reading.  Norma and her late husband, Don, enjoyed vacationing at Sanibel Island, Florida, and in particular, the company of family and friends – especially as “second grandparents” to the children in their Jackson-area neighborhood.
Predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Joseph Radich, who passed away in 1969; her husband of 40 years, Donald L. Rinehart, who preceded her in 2015; sister, Irene Brown Hickle and son-in-law, Jack Ambrose; Norma is survived by her children, Susan Brumm, of Columbus, Becky Ambrose, of Canton, Tim Radich, of Massillon and Keith (Betsey) Rinehart, of St. Louis, Missouri; there are also 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren – with a 5th on the way!
Norma had requested that her services be private so we will honor her request.
The family extends sincere thanks to the staff of Crossroads Hospice and to Becky Ball.  Memorial contributions may be made in care of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.
