Helen E. Amos, 95, of Navarre, following a well-spent life filled with love, grace and perseverance, and with her family gathered to her side, was received into the arms of her Savior on Thursday evening, March 8, 2018. Born June 5, 1922, in Roscoe, Ohio, a daughter to the late Burton and Fannie (Sullivan) Morgan, Helen was reared by her mother and step-father, Gust Bleninger. She attended the former Navarre High School and had worked at Nickles Bakery for more than forty years before retiring in 1981. A member of Fohl Memorial United Methodist Church, Helen was a loving wife and a devoted and supportive mother and grandmother who delighted in the company of her family and friends. A dedicated animal lover throughout her life, she also enjoyed bowling and playing BINGO!
Predeceased by her parents and step-father; her husband, Harold J. Amos; sisters, Wilma and Ruby Ann; brother, Clifford; and son-in-law, Charles Winkhart; Helen is survived by her daughter, Bonnie L. Jogerst Winkhart and son, John P. Jogerst, both of Navarre; grandchildren, R. Shaun Winkhart, of New Philadelphia, Randall S. (Suzzi) Winkhart and Rayann (Michael) Huntsman, all of Bolivar; great-grandchildren, Bonnie Jean Winkhart, Meriah, Clay and Cain Winkhart and Ruger and Charlee Huntsman; a brother, Leonard (Jean) Bleninger, of Prescott, Arizona and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Navarre. Rev. Paul Gerycz will officiate and burial will follow at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. The family will receive condolences one hour prior to the services, from 10-11:00 Tuesday morning in the funeral home. They have also suggested memorial contributions made in care of the Humane Society of Stark County, 5100 Peach Street, Louisville, Ohio 44641 or Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Avenue, SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
