Gary W. Villard, 75, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, June 2, 2018. Born in Massillon, July 19, 1942, a son to the late William W. and Helen E. (App) Villard, Gary graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1960. He also attended Kent State University. His professional career was spent with Babcock & Wilcox Company where he retired as a production supervisor with 30 years of faithful service. He followed this with another ten years of safe and dependable service as a bus driver for Jackson Local Schools. Gary placed his wife and family at the center of his life. As a loving husband and a devoted dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and great-great-grandpa, his legacy is now in the safe keeping of his sons and their wives and their families. Gary was the go-to guy when anything needed fixed. He had the tools and the knowledge to make it right again. He was also the family photographer – recording lives and memories as they happened. In his leisure time he loved fishing and had great fun flying r/c airplanes.
Predeceased by his parents; Gary is survived by his wife Linda L. (Moyer) Villard and their sons, Christopher N. (Kelly) Villard, of Canton and Keith W. (Shauna) Villard, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and grandchildren, Avery, Aubrey, Mark, Keith Jr., and Trent. There are also eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; his brother, Kenneth W. (Esther) Villard, of Weston, Colorado and a special sister-in-law, Mrs. Susie Palombo and many treasured friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 Friday morning, June 8, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Burial will follow at Massillon Cemetery. The family will receive condolences Thursday evening, from 6-8:00 at the funeral home.
