Edith M. Caillet, 81, of Massillon, passed away peacefully Monday evening, April 23, 2018. Born in Carrollton, Ohio, August 7, 1936, a daughter to the late Charles and Lola (Henderson) Rutledge, Edith graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1954. She worked as the Special Education secretary for the Jackson Local School District until her retirement. A faithful member of Amherst Community Church, Edith enjoyed the company of the friends she made within the church and looked forward to attending weekly bible study. She also held membership in Stark County Office Professionals in Education. In her leisure time she enjoyed the company of family and her fur baby, “Bitsy.”
Predeceased by her parents and her husband, Ronald J. Caillet; Edith is survived by her sister, Caroline (Kenneth) Bair, of Massillon; nephew, Kevin (Becky) Bair, of Brewster; great-nieces, Valorie (Jeremiah) Indorf and Malinda Bair and great-nephew, Kevin Bair, Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Rev. Cal Hamblin will officiate and burial will follow at East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. The family will receive condolences Friday, April 27, from 4-6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Amherst Meadows and Crossroads Hospice for the care and kindness Edith received.
