Chris John "CJ" Jenkins

Chris J. Jenkins, 54, formerly of Massillon, more recently of Galion, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at his home this past Monday morning, August 6, 2018.  Born in Massillon, July 10, 1964, a son to Eugene and the late Doris (Redner) Jenkins, Chris attended Massillon Washington High School.  He had been employed for more than twelve years as a custodian with the Ontario Local School District in Richland County, Ohio and was currently working at Stingel Elementary School.  A conscientious, hands-on worker, CJ lived simply and quietly.  He had a passion for helping others in need, along with a unique, signature passion that included his well-ordered home and well-kept lawn. 

Predeceased by his mother, Doris A. Jenkins; Chris is survived by his father, Eugene D. and step-mother, Elma R. (Elliot) Jenkins, of Massillon; sisters, Debbie Knapp, of Navarre, Lori (Wayne) Friley, of Strasburg and Pam (Mike) Bassett, of Arizona; brothers, Alan Jenkins, of Strasburg and Shawn Jenkins, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; a large extended family and some very good friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  The family will receive condolences beginning at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.  Rev. Terry Livengood will officiate and a private burial will follow.
