Carolyn A. Peel, 71, of Jackson Township, passed away unexpectedly at her residence early Wednesday morning, November 7, 2018. Born in Massillon, June 9, 1947, a daughter to the late Harry and Erma (Meyborg) Craig, Carolyn graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1965. She completed her undergraduate and graduate studies at Kent State, Akron and Ashland Universities and spent her professional career as a teacher and principal in the Massillon City School District. She placed her husband and family at the center of her life with special, genuine interest and sincere affection given to each of her grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents; her husband, Patrick L. Peel; brother, Charles Craig and sister, Linda Allen; Carolyn is survived by her sons, William C., Todd C. and Michael T. Peel, all of the area; her grandchildren, Emma, Lauren, William, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Jaclyn and Emily; sister-in-law, Becky Craig and brother-in-law, Tom Peel.
The family will receive condolences from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Friday, November 9th, at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon before departing for Sunset Hills Memory Gardens where burial will take place.
