Carolyn Jean (Klein) Notman

Carolyn Jean Notman, 90, of Massillon, passed away peacefully, early Saturday morning, April 14, 2018.  Born in Massillon, November 23, 1927, a daughter to the late Ralph and Velma (Ickes) Klein, Carolyn graduated from Washington High school with the Class of 1945.  She went on to graduate as a Registered Nurse from Youngstown School of Nursing in 1948.  Her nursing career included service at the former Massillon State Hospital; as a private duty nurse and in general duty at the former Massillon Community Hospital.  Carolyn and her late husband, Bob, called Massillon home throughout their lives.  They were members of Epworth United Methodist Church and reared their family – and several beloved pets in the Brookfield area.
Predeceased by her parents; her husband of 52 years, Robert D. Notman; brothers, Raleigh and Russell Klein and sister, Pat (Klein) Kratz; Carolyn is survived by her children, Robert (Lisa) Notman, of Canton, Linda (Bill) Stacho, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio and Cathy (Matt) Boron, of Jackson Twp.; her grandsons, Adam (Susie) and Trevor (Courtney) Boron; great-grandchildren, Charlie, Morgan and Averie; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Mrs. Sylvia Notman and brother-in-law, Karl Kratz.
Services are to be held at the convenience of the family with arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon.  The family wishes to thank the CCU Staff of Mercy Medical Center for the care their mother received.  They have also suggested memorial contributions made in care of the Humane Society of Stark County, 5100 Peach Street Northeast, Louisville, Ohio  44641
