Ruby O. Smith, age 94, died in Long Beach, CA Monday March 5, 2012. She was born in Lundale, West VA March 6,1917 and was a member of the Massillon Baptist Temple. Having lived a period of time in both Massillon and California, she had worked as a machinist for 15 years in California. Ruby is preceded by her parents, Nathan and Anna (Adkins) Clay; her son, Robert Smith; brother, Homer Clay; and sisters, Olive Parsons and Gusta Clay. Ruby leaves behind her daughter, Freda Porter of Huntington Park, CA; sons, Clifford Smith of Caldwell, OH and Stanley Smith of Chino, CA; twelve grandchildren; many great-grand children; three sisters, Aleain Truax of Massillon, Fanny Miller of Roanoake, VA, and Lorene Jenkins of Huntington, West VA; and two brothers, Golden Clay of Massillon and Ray Clay of Port Washington, OH.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday March 10 at Atkinson Feucht Hare Funeral Home in Massillon. Visitation is prior to the service at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday. Burial is in Brookfield Cemetery. Condolences may be placed at www.atkinsonfeucht.com. Atkinson Feucht Hare
